Beliving in the Bible
Finally tonight: believing the Bible and why making that
one major decision for myself has made all my other decisions for me.
So many people are unquestionably in a quandary over how to live their lives.
The usual standards are usually unstable: right today, wrong tomorrow; abhorrent
yesterday, acceptable today; prohibited by one generation and promoted by the
next.
But while makeshift morals are causing social confusion, the laws we originally
set to live by are much less ambiguous. From this country's constitution and its
document declaring independence, to every canon, edict and decree; statute by
statute they all have their basis in the Bible and what was originally carved in
stone by its ultimate author.
It is that kind of rock solid foundation that keeps me from wavering in whatever
new age wind is blowing.
My final decisions on everything from Harry Potter to homosexuality, from
liquor to lotteries, on abortion, The Bachelor and casinos, from a to z, can
all be found between the book covers from Genesis to Revelation.
It is, for anyone, a big decision but its the last decision a Bible believer
has to make.
