"The Da Vinci Code"
Finally Tonight: The Gospel Truth and why it seems people are willing to look
just about everywhere for it except where they are certain to find it.
"The Da Vinci Code" is merely the latest in a series of slanderous salvos
aimed at dragging the man, the message and the mission of Jesus Christ through the mud.
It amazes me that so many people are combing the pages of this ridiculous book
hoping to discover a new truth about the Lord.
For two thousand years the truth about Christ has been available from the lips of
apostles who traveled with Him, from hundreds of disciples who witnessed His works and
from the gospels, written down to provide a permanent record of His sinless life,
atoning death and eternal resurrection.
And yet, books that belittle Him, broadway scores that reduce Him to misguided
superstar status and movies that weave lies of his womanizing, continue to thrive
on popular demand.
There is obviously, a vast audience searching for something to believe about
Jesus. But if you're looking for the Gospel Truth, the Gospels should be the
first place you look.
