Religious Rabbits
Finally tonight: religious rabbits and why Christians need to stop chasing
them.
A religious rabbit is a decoy the enemy uses to keep Christians distracted
instead of doing the actual work to which they were called.
The Lord Jesus Christ told his followers to plant the seeds of the Gospel
throughout the earth so that He could reap a harvest of believers upon His
return.
But instead of simply sowing the seeds, sometimes Christians get sidetracked
chasing a religious rabbit they see running through their field and fear will
endanger that harvest.
But if anything, the time wasted chasing the rabbit instead of sowing seeds
is what would actually diminish the return.
Fighting, protesting and suing people over the right to keep the 10
Commandments carved into a courthouse stone is a classic example of a religious
rabbit.
It is a distraction focusing attention on 10 laws sinners already know and
can't follow instead of proclaiming the Savior they need to know and can follow.
Christians need to get back to work sowing seeds and stop chasing rabbits.
