Sin and the Bible
Finally tonight: sin and why what the Bible says about sin should separate the
thinking of Bible believers from everyone else.
In this new age, it seems that sin has replaced all previous four-lettered forms
of profanity to become the world's only dirty word.
The same people who consider God's commandments simply "suggestions"
and His pronouncements merely "platitudes" are now successfully promoting
that His prohibitions are to be disregarded as outdated expressions of intolerance,
and engaging in those prohibited behaviors is never to be regarded as sin.
In fact, the only sin that today's tolerance will not indulge is calling it sin.
Instead, people use words like "choice," "alternative," "lifestyle," and "personal
freedom."
And that is why this tiny word with huge implications should separate Bible
believers from everyone else. While we don't have to argue it, defend it, fight
over it or debate it, we most definitely should never stop using it.
